EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE
The Early Childhood Development Initiative strives to create a unified community system that launches every young child in Norwalk on a path to success. Through data-driven alignment and collective action, we foster developmental and kindergarten readiness across our city. By advancing universal early screenings, equitable family engagement, and responsive support systems, we ensure every child’s individual needs are met from cradle to school entry.
SCHOOL TO COMMUNITY INITIATIVE
The School to Community Initiative is a data-informed, partner-led effort to support Norwalk youth beyond the traditional school environment. Convened under our Cradle to Career framework, this initiative unites local organizations, educators, and community leaders around a shared mission: ensuring that all children have access to high-quality, affordable, equitable, and accessible learning opportunities outside the school day.
COLLEGE & WORKFORCE READINESS INITIATIVE
The College & Workforce Readiness Initiative aligns community partners, educators, and industry leaders to clear pathways for students of color and youth from low-income families after high school. By leveraging data and driving collective action, we work to ensure every Norwalk student has equitable access to college, alternative career tracks, or specialized training that leads to long-term economic mobility and family prosperity.
